Privacy Policy
Renew for iPhone, iPad and Mac
Effective date: October 18, 2026
The short version
Renew does not collect, share or sell any personal data. The developer has no servers and cannot see what you track in the app.
What Renew stores
Renew stores the items you add (for example a filter or a toothbrush head), their replacement intervals, notes, links and replacement history. This information is stored:
- On your device, inside the app's private storage.
- In your private iCloud database, only if iCloud Sync is turned on in Renew's Settings. This lets your iPhone, iPad and Mac show the same items. iCloud data is stored by Apple under your Apple Account and is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer cannot access it.
You can turn iCloud Sync off at any time. Your items then stay on the device only. Renew also offers an option to delete its data from iCloud.
Reminders
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device by the app itself. No notification content is sent to the developer or any third party.
What Renew does not do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking.
- No third-party SDKs that collect data.
- No location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access.
Links you add
If you save a "where to buy" link with an item, Renew opens it in your browser when you tap it. Websites you visit have their own privacy policies.
Children
Renew is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Delete items in the app, or delete the app to remove everything stored on that device. To remove the iCloud copy, turn off iCloud Sync in Renew's Settings and choose "Delete data from iCloud", or manage your iCloud storage in your device settings.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
