Replacement reminders for iPhone, iPad and Mac

Renew reminds you when it's time to replace things that wear out, like air purifier filters, toothbrush heads, water filters and razor blades, and keeps a history of every replacement.

Frequently asked questions

How do I log a replacement?

Open an item and tap Replaced today, or swipe right on it in the list. Use Replaced on another day… to pick a different date. The countdown restarts from the date you log.

When do reminders appear?

On the due date, at the time set in Settings → Reminders (9:00 by default). From the notification you can mark the item as replaced or snooze it until tomorrow.

I'm not getting reminders.

Make sure notifications are allowed for Renew in your device settings. Renew shows a warning in the app when they're turned off. Also check that Remind me on this device is on in Renew's Settings.

How does sync work?

With iCloud Sync on, Renew keeps your items in your private iCloud database, so all devices signed in to the same Apple Account show the same items. Sync is automatic. Changes usually appear within a minute while the app is open.

I get the same reminder on every device.

Each device schedules its own reminders. Turn off Remind me on this device on the devices where you don't want them.

Can I use Renew without iCloud?

Yes. Turn off iCloud Sync and your data stays on that device only.
