Balcony Bloom

A cozy balcony garden for iPhone and iPad

Balcony Bloom is a calm garden game: grow plants through the seasons, decorate your balcony, welcome visitors and add new floors to your building.

Frequently asked questions

How do I plant something?

Drag a plant up from the tray onto a free tile. You can also tap it first, then tap a tile. Green tiles show where it fits.

My plant looks brown. Is it dead?

No. Plants never die. A plant that runs out of water wilts and stops growing. Tap it, then tap Water, and it recovers over time.

What does the caretaker do?

In the building view, tap Caretaker to hire a gardener. They water thirsty plants and harvest ripe ones on every floor for a small fee: 2 coins per watering and 20% of each harvest. You see the total before you confirm, and you can hire them every 4 hours.

Do plants grow while the app is closed?

Yes, for up to one real day. A game day lasts one real hour, and a season lasts three hours.

How do I get visitors?

Make your balcony cozy with furniture and decor. Each guest likes something different; the Guest book has a hint for every guest you haven't met yet.

How do I unlock the lemon tree?

Get the first-harvest stamp on every page of the Plant album.

How do I change the language, music or sounds?

Tap the gear button at the top right to open Settings.

Can I see the tutorial again?

Yes. Open Settings and tap Replay tutorial.

Where is my progress saved?

On your device. With iCloud sync on, it is also kept in your own iCloud account. Without sync, deleting the app deletes your balcony.

How do I move my garden to another device?

Sign in to the same Apple Account on both devices and turn on Sync with iCloud under Settings → Saved games. When another device has a newer garden, the game asks whether to use it.

Can I save a game under a name?

Yes. Open Settings → Saved games and tap Save current game. Tap a saved game to load, replace, rename or delete it. Loading keeps a copy of your current garden under Before last load.

Why does the game ask to send notifications?

So it can tell you when a plant is ready to harvest or a pot is about to dry out. It asks after your first harvest, and you can change this anytime in your device's settings.
